Medicare Advantage Plans

Medicare Advantage plans represented by AmeriLife provide more benefits than the original Medicare plan. When you choose one of these plans you don't need a Medicare Supplement policy and you may have a lower premium or no premiums.  In fact, some Medicare Advantage Plans even pay back part of your Medicare Part B premium directly to you.

The Medicare Advantage plan you choose affects many things like cost, benefits, doctor choice, convenience and quality. These plans are usually referred to by one of the following:

  • Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO)
  • Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO)
  • Private Fee-for-Service Plans (PFFS)
  • Medicare Special Needs Plans
  • Medicare Medical Savings Account Plans (MSA)

These plans may cover more services and have lower out-of-pocket costs than the Original Medicare Plan. Some plans cover prescription drugs.  Qualifying for Medicare Advantage Plans is very easy.  With most plans, the only requirement is that you are enrolled in Part A and B of Medicare.
